Minakami glamping resort by Canyons
The newly opened Minakami Riverside Oasis glamping (glamorous camping) area is perfectly located at the entrance to Joshinetsu National Park adjacent to Canyons Minakami Base. Surrounded by native forest in a secluded valley, the site overlooks the pure emerald green waters of the Yubiso River, one of the most picturesque rivers in the Minakami area.
In the daytime you can enjoy one of the many outdoor activities that Canyons has on offer or just relax at your private river setting and make the most of "the swimhole". In the evening enjoy a delicious BBQ of select local produce, sit by the fire and enjoy a panorama of stars.
Tent Options
All of Canyons tents are produced by YALA glamping tents, Europes largest glamping manufacturer. These tents are designed for comfort and space while blending in perfectly to the natural surrondings. Our glamping area was designed by Japan based company, Aoraki Glamping and Design.
Safari Tent
Straight out of Africa, this stylish and spacious tent is the perfect glamping space for families or groups that want superior comfort. The tent is spectacularly located overlooking the best swimming hole in Minakami and has its own 5 burner gas BBQ hamock, 15sqm of covered deck and 25sqm of open deck space. ONLY ONE of these tents available!

waterfront tents - NEW 2020!
A smaller version of the Safari, the waterfront tents is perfect for couples or friends. Let the sound of the Yubiso River sooth you to sleep! 5 tents available.

Bell tents
Simple but elegant the bell tents are a cosy space for families or friends wanting to enjoy nature. Each tent has a small outside awning area and indoor lounge area. 3 tents available. Up to 2 extra beds can be added to accommodate a total of 6 people.

Sleeps: 4 people (up to 6 with 2 extra beds)
Cost: 35,000 yen per tent including breakfast (5,000 yen per extra bed)

Breakfast
Continental breakfast is included in the accommodation price. This includes bread, cereal, coffee, tea, milk and juice and is served in the Alpine Cafe between 07:00 - 09:00 AM

Extra information
*Solar powered lighting is provided
*Toilet in the camp area
*There is no running water or fridge facilities in the camping area. Kitchen & shower facilities are available at Minakami Canyons Base just 50m away
*Free shuttle service to and from train stations is available with reservations (Jomo Kogen and Minakami)
*Pets are OK if: They will not disturn other campers (eg no yappie dogs) and they are not allowed inside the tent unless in a cage
*Fireworks are ok in the carpark area but no shooting types (we like our native bush the way it is)

Payment & Booking
You can pay cash or credit card on arrival at our lodge OR online in advance. Please make a reservation before you arrive so we can guarantee your stay so you do not miss out. The glamping tents can be booked with any outdoor tour booking by simply choosing the "Glamping option" in the booking form. Availability is not real time for glamping so we will reply to your requests by email to let you know if the site is available on your preferred dates.
Cancellation
In the unfortunate event of cancellation by the customer you may be subject to charges.
