Spring Whitewater Half-Day Rafting
The rapids in Minakami are some of the best in Japan and you will find experienced bilingual white-water guides from around the world leading trips down the amazing sections of river around the town. Come and experience the sublime beauty and world class rapids of the Tone river during its spring best. Typical spring flows are between grade 3 and 4 and during our half day tour you will travel around 12 kilometers.

1. Welcome to Canyons Minakami Arrive at our base by car or shuttle bus and meet our reception staff. Once you have checked in using our ipad system and paid for your adventure you will meet your guide -
2. Tour briefing Your guide for the day will give a tour brief, then it's off to get changed into your wet suit, life jacket, helmet and grab a paddle. Let's get into the bus for a short ride and start your rafting adventure!

3. Safety talk Please listen carefully to your guide. At the start point, guides will give a safety explanation. After a gear check, you are ready to start!

4. Start We start slowly and warm up with some paddling practice on the river.

5. Tour And then the fun begins as we start heading down the river.

6. Goal Enjoy the sights, sounds and sensations of this awesome tour! After refreshing on the river smiley faces are all around

7. Back to base Change out of you rafting gear and meet up with your guide and teammates. Kick back and relax with drinks or BBQ then look back at a great day on the river!
