We run tours throughout Japan but mostly at our 2 summer bases of Minakami and Okutama. Both areas are rich in nature and culture with some of the best rivers and canyons in Japan.
2021 Summer season positions:
>Rafting guide (Grade 3-4)
>Canyoning guide (Grade A3V3+)
>Trainee guide (rafting & canyoning)
If you do not have experience or a license then our awesome team of experienced guides can train you!
Guide Positions - Rafting & Canyoning
If you already have a guide certification in rafting or canyoning and are keen to join our team:
Term: Late April - October (July-September also available)
Work hours: 4 hours per trip, up to 2 trips per day
Pay: Experience based, paid per trip
Requirements:
- Internationally recognised guide license
Rafting: IRF, NZRA, SOA or equivalent
Canyoning: CIC, Icopro, SOA, NZOIA or equivalent - Current CPR and first aid
<We run CPR and first aid courses, if you need to update>
Great if you also have: (but not necessary)
- Wilderness first aid
- Driver license useable in Japan
- A little bit of Japanese

TRainee Guide - rafting & Canyoning
If you wold like to become a professional guide then talk to us. Canyons is the leader in the industry for training and qualifications. You will get the highest level training for skills and service from some of the best guides in the world!
Term: Late April - October
Work hours: 4 hours per trip, up to 2 trips per day
Pay: Experience based, paid per trip
Requirements:
- Good level of physical fitness
- Decent level of swimming
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Love working with people!
Great if you also have: (but not necessary)
- First aid certificate
- Driver license useable in Japan
- A little bit of Japanese

Do you love working in hospitality? Canyons runs 2 cafes, one in Okutama and one in Minakami that serve delicoius locally produced food and drinks. We are looking for food prepaeration and service staff to help with lunches, bar time and BBQ's.
Season: April - October (July- Septemeber short season also available)
Pay: From 850 yen per hour (depending on experience and skills)
Work hours: 4-8 hour shift between 8:00- 23:00
Weekend and holiday only work also available.
Helps if you have:

>Some converational Japanese
