BY CAR 

The Kanetsu Expressway (toll road) runs through Minakami. The journey from Nerima IC in northern Tokyo to Minakami IC will take approximately 2 hours without traffic. Our base is just 15 minutes from the Kanetsu Expressway and we have FREE parking onsite.

BY TRAIN 

We provide a shuttle service so we can then pick you up from either Jomokogen or Minakami station so you can join the tour. Please check Train Timetables in English and advise at the time of booking if you require pickup and we will let you know the shuttle time.

1) From Tokyo or Ueno Station take the Bullet train (65 minutes) to Jomokogen Station

 

2) From Ueno take the local train JR Takasaki Line to Takasaki. Then transfer to JR Joetsu Line to Minakami Station (2 hours 45 minutes)

ACCESS

Our Okutama base is easy to access by car and local train. We also offer a pickup shuttle service from Mitake station (3 minutes).

BY CAR

Within easy distance of Tokyo the journey from central Tokyo will take approximately 120 minutes without traffic. The best route will depend on your start location in Tokyo the nearest expressway exits are:

Ome or Hinode exits on the Ken-O Expressway

Hachioji exit on the Chuo Expressway

Our base is approximately 50 minutes from the Expressway exits and we have FREE parking onsite.

BY TRAIN

We provide a shuttle service so we can pick you up from Mitake station so you can join the tour. Please check Train Timetables in English and advise at the time of booking if you require pickup and we will let you know the shuttle time.

CANYONS OKUTAMA

BY CAR

Within easy distance of Tokyo the journey from central Tokyo will take approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes without traffic. Take the Kanetsu Expressway to the Shibukawa exit, then continue on the low roads towards Kusatsu (R353>R145), turn off at R292 towards Lake Noziri and continue on R405.

 Please note: If you are using car navigation system be careful as we are located in the southeast of Kusatsu city centre. Rather than Shirane-Shibutoge area which is in the north.

BY TRAIN

We provide a shuttle service so we can pick you up from Naganohara Kusatsuguchi station so you can join the tour. Please check Train Timetables in English and advise at the time of booking if you require pickup and we will let you know the shuttle time.

From Ueno Station take the Bullet train to Takasaki Station. Then the JR Agatsuma line to Naganohara Kusatsuguchi station (2 hours 20 minutes).
